Espresso Machine
Prepare coffee grind
Add coffee to the grinder. You can find our coffee beans in the coffee canister on the welcome tray. We source coffee beans roasted locally in Charleston, which we buy at Orange Spot Coffee.

Adjust grind fineness level; Medium for drip coffee; 4th Fine level for espresso (See picture)
Make sure it is on the 4th level because the fine level can affect the quality and taste of the final espresso shot a lot

Adjust volumes from 0 -> 4 cups -> 18 cups; For drip coffee, 4 cups means the volume can make 4 cups of coffee; For espresso, 4 cups equals 1 double espresso shot;

Choose the right cup for the right shot
Prepare coffee grind
Use the spoon (located in the coffee cabinet) and put coffee grind into the right size espresso basket (Single shot or double shot)

Use the tamper to tamp the grinds until the top of the tamper is level with the rim of the filter basket (see photo)

Make espresso
Lock the portafilter as shown in the photo
Fill the Water Tank
Make sure there’s enough water filled per the marks in the tank

First make sure there’s enough water in the water tank behind the machine; if yes, then Press either single or double shot button (Espresso cups are located in the coffee cabinet above the espresso machine)

Espresso should come out as shown in the photo

If you like iced latte, pour directly on your iced milk :)
Make steamed milk
Pour your choice of milk into a frothing pitcher as shown; Follow the lines inside the pitcher for the volume required

Place the steam wand into the milk

Press the steam button to start
PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT TOUCH THE HOT STEAM WAND
DO NOT POINT THE STEAM WAND TO YOU TO AVOID STEAM BURN

As the milk steams, constantly touch the pitcher and feel the temperature; The longer you steam; the frothier the milk will be; I like to stop steaming when I couldn’t hold my finger on the pitcher for >3 seconds
Press Steam button again to stop steaming

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT TOUCH THE WAND WITH YOUR HAND
Use a wet cloth to wipe off the milk on the tip of the steam wand

Make sure to place the steam wand facing down the tray; DO NOT POINT THE WAND TOWARDS YOU TO AVOID STEAM BURN
Press Steam button again to let steam clean the wand for 3 seconds
Press Steam button again to stop steam
Make steamed milk
Pour steamed milk into your espresso and you’ll have your drink!
